We're happy to help.
Ingest Speech turns your voice into action items and sends them to Apple Reminders — all on-device. If something isn't working or you have a question, email support@ingestair.space and we'll get back to you, typically within a couple of business days.
Getting started
- Grant permissions. On first launch, allow Microphone and Speech Recognition so the App can hear and transcribe you.
- Record. Tap the mic button and speak naturally. Your words appear live in the transcript.
- Review tasks. When you stop, the App pulls out action items. Edit the text, set a due date or priority, or switch any of them off.
- Ingest. Tap “Ingest to Apple Reminders,” allow Reminders access, and choose a list. Your tasks are created in Apple Reminders.
Frequently asked questions
Where do my reminders go?
Into your Apple Reminders app, in the list you pick (the App creates an “Ingest” list by default). You can move or edit them in Reminders like any other reminder.
Does my voice get uploaded anywhere?
No. Speech is transcribed on your device and your notes stay on your device. The App has no servers and collects no data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
It says microphone or speech access was denied. How do I fix it?
Open iOS Settings → Ingest Speech (or Settings → Privacy & Security) and enable Microphone, Speech Recognition, and Reminders. The App also shows an “Open Settings” shortcut when access is off.
Why didn't it detect any tasks?
The App looks for genuine action items and ignores small talk. If nothing was detected, try phrasing tasks as things to do (“call the dentist,” “remember to email Sam”). You can also edit the transcript and tap “Re-extract.”
The recording stopped on its own.
Recordings have a safety time limit and also stop if speech recognition becomes unavailable. Long notes are captured across pauses; if you ever lose text, let us know what happened and we'll look into it.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
No. Smarter task extraction uses on-device intelligence where available, and falls back to a built-in method on other supported devices.
System requirements
- iPhone running iOS 26.5 or later.
- The most capable task extraction runs on Apple-Intelligence-capable devices; other supported devices use a built-in fallback.
